Incline Resident Polly Wolfe Wins the Umpqua Bank Good Deed Award for the State of Nevada

pollyNov 8th, 2013 – Tahoe Family Solutions (TFS) and Umpqua Bank have announced that TFS Board member Polly Wolfe has been selected as the Umpqua “Good Deed Award” winner for the State of Nevada.  Polly work for TFS over the past 8 years was a key to her being nominated for this award and with online voting resulting in over 3100 ballots cast Polly was able to edge out the 2 other outstanding candidates.  The “Good Deed Award” recognizes outstanding volunteers in Nevada and 3 other States.  TFS Chair John Iannucci stated that: “This statewide recognition for Polly is past due and highlights her tireless efforts for children in the Incline Community.”

Polly has been instrumental in fostering the growth of the Homework Help Club for Incline Elementary School, Polly and her husband Joe Wolfe have established a fund that allows low income families to send their children to Camp Explore each summer, Polly has been the chair of the “Brunch with Santa” event for the past 5 years, and Polly has played a crucial role in funding TFS efforts to bring affordable mental health care to the Tahoe Basin.  TFS Executive Director  Robin Glasgow credits Polly for a large part of the success of TFS over the past 4 years both in programmatic growth and financial stability.

Polly has recently signed on for another 3 year term on the TFS Board and is now busy working on the “Brunch with Santa” event that will occur on Saturday December 14th with over 250 kids expected to attend. Polly will also be involved in TFS efforts with the “Adopt a Family” program this December.
