The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a national IRS-sponsored service that offers free tax preparation for households earning under $67,000 per year.
VITA helps low- to moderate-income families access high-quality tax support—at no cost—so they can claim every tax credit they’re eligible for and receive the largest refund (or smallest tax bill) allowed by law. This ensures families keep more of their hard-earned money without spending it on expensive tax preparation services.
